Megan Klamert is a native of Akron, OH who began her training in Vaganova and Balanchine technique at a young age. She attended summer intensives at Chautauqua Institute, Saratoga Springs, NY, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Indiana University before continuing her training at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. There, she earned a Bachelor of Science and Outside Field (BSOF) degree in Ballet and Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. She then moved to Hartford, Connecticut to perform professionally and teach. She took on the directorship role of Ballet Mistress for Ballet Theatre Company in West Hartford, CT assisting in staging and producing full-length ballets for 3 seasons. She recently relocated back to the Ohio area and is excited to enter into the arts community in her home region.
