Students ages 8-18 are eligible to be considered for the Conservatory. This program is designed for students whose main focus is dance. Students must be able to commit to the minimum amount of required classes for their level, and study the required subjects. The Conservatory is a closed program, those wishing to be considered must be evaluated and after acceptance fulfill requirements to maintain and advance their level. HCB faculty works personally with students and parents to create goals and explore options tailored for each individual as they progress towards post high school studies. Many learning and performance opportunities are offered through each season including solos for Youth America Grand Prix, national convention tours, local gala events, guest teacher/choreographers and HCB's original creation of " The Nutcracker Suite." Each year culminates with our annual Spring Review, when dancers share their growth at an accessible venue. In addition to year-long training, students are encouraged to pursue further studies at the national school workshops and conventions. To schedule a private evaluation or learn more, please contact HCB.
