Sarah Holmes Villanaeva
Sarah has been teaching dance to kids of all ages in NYC, Vermont, Florida, and Cleveland since 2005. While being an educator she also had a small dance company. She had the opportunity to show her choreography at Abrons Arts Center, Dixon Place, Spoke the Hub, The Wild Project, The 92nd Street Y, Dancespace, Merce Cunningham Studios, Dance New Amsterdam, Galapagos Art Space, Green Space, The Tank, and Triskelion Arts. She completed her Masters in Dance from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, in May 2010. While there, she participated in a program that taught high school students composition and helped them choreograph their own solos. Sarah recently choreographed a piece for the students at the Florida Dance Festival. Sarah is passionate about helping every student find their creative voice through movement. When not dancing, Sarah loves spending time with her family, hiking, baking, and hopes to someday raise bees.
